We're still buzzing with excitement here at Mushrooms & Love! We recently had the incredible opportunity to be featured on Northern Sound, our very own local radio station. Our founder, Richard Francis, sat down with Jodie Curran to chat all things mushrooms, our award-winning products, and the amazing support we've received as part of the 'Created in Cavan' community.
Being interviewed on Northern Sound was a fantastic platform to share our passion with a wider audience, and we're so grateful for the chance to tell our story. It was a proud moment for us to represent Ardlougher and the vibrant food scene here in County Cavan.
This feature was also a great opportunity to shine a spotlight on 'Created in Cavan,' a brilliant initiative that has been a game-changer for our business. More than just a food and drink network, 'Created in Cavan' is a collaborative community of over 70 local businesses. Being part of this network, supported by the Cavan County Council, Local Enterprise Office Cavan, and the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, has provided us with invaluable support and a platform to connect with fellow producers and the wider community.
The success of the 'Created in Cavan' network is evident in the numerous accolades its members have received, including over 20 awards at the prestigious Blás na hÉireann and the Irish Restaurant Awards.
We are also incredibly proud to have recently added to that tally! Our "Seavoury Crisps" were honored with a Gold Award and named "Product of the Year" at the 2024 Irish Quality Food and Drink Awards, where our "Shroom Crisps" were also finalists. These awards are a testament to our commitment to creating unique, high-quality products that showcase the versatility and deliciousness of mushrooms.
Our journey from a local market stall to an award-winning business wouldn't be possible without the incredible support of our customers and the collaborative spirit of initiatives like 'Created in Cavan.'
